Job Description
‍We are currently seeking an expert Cybersecurity Consultant, on a part-time basis, specializing in the security of embedded devices within military and aerospace applications. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge and experience in cybersecurity, particularly in hardening embedded systems against advanced cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Security Analysis & Design:
2. Perform thorough security evaluations of embedded devices to pinpoint vulnerabilities.
3. Develop and apply advanced security architectures for embedded systems in military and aerospace contexts.
4. Threat Modeling & Risk Management:
5. Create and update threat models for a range of embedded devices.
6. Analyze risks and formulate strategies to mitigate identified security threats.
7. Security Hardening:
8. Implement and oversee security enhancement measures for embedded systems, focusing on encryption, secure boot, and intrusion detection systems.
9. Keep up-to-date with emerging cybersecurity trends and technologies to bolster the security of embedded devices.
10. Compliance & Standards Adherence:
11. Ensure that all activities comply with relevant military and aerospace cybersecurity standards.
12. Generate and maintain documentation for regulatory compliance.
13. Collaborative Expertise:
14. Collaborate with various teams, including hardware engineers and software developers, to integrate cybersecurity measures seamlessly.
15. Offer expert advice and mentorship to other team members in cybersecurity practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field; Advanced degrees are preferable.
• At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a specific emphasis on embedded devices.
• Proficiency with military and aerospace standards and protocols regarding cybersecurity.
• Deep understanding of embedded systems, hardware security, and secure communication protocols.
• Proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python for embedded systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• US Citizen or permanent resident status required.
